As 2015 draws to a close, it is that time of the year for all bloggers to narcissistically reflect on how the year has affected them.
To be honest, 2015 hasn't been my best year. No one died or anything catastrophic, but my health just took such a dive for the worse that I feel like I've become a horrible hermit. The past few weeks before Christmas, I've spent mostly curled up in a fetal position sleeping. I've not felt like I've had time to ever properly take time off from anything, so I've always been pushing myself to keep going and doing things for work, even when I'm sleeping the majority of the day. I am a little behind on my thesis, but it isn't too bad...nothing that won't be finished by September. I am gradually getting stronger and every day is a little bit better than before, so it is the little things that count.
Despite my health concerns and not being able to see many people, 2015 has brought a lot of professional successes, especially with my blog. I am really looking forward to watching it continue to grow over the next few months.
So Let's List All the Things I'm Looking Forward To In 2016:
-Finishing my PhD and becoming a Doctor!
-Finally recovering and having medication to control my pain so that I'm living my life.
-Getting back into exercising once the recovery process is complete.
-Moving into a new flat with Luke.
-Watching my blog continue to grow
-Make more strides with my YouTube
How about you? What were your successes and pitfalls in 2015? What are you looking forward to in 2016?

DeleteI hope you feel better - lately, I've been feeling the burden of some health concerns as well and it can be soooo draining. Looks like 2016 is going to be a great year - earning your PhD is an amazing accomplishment! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, Erin. I agree, it is draining and very stressful. And people can be very intolerant to it and there is always lots of work to catch up on. Not the same as taking the day off sick as a kid! Happy New Year to you too!
DeletePraying everyone has a netter year
